Course Overview and Objectives

The purpose of this course is to acquaint the student with (1) the methods of quantifying and measuring ecotoxicological effects in the field and under controlled laboratory conditions; (2) the effects of major classes of environmental contaminants and other ecological perturbations capable of altering ecosystems; (3) case histories involving environmental contaminant disruption of natural ecosystems; and (4) methods used for making estimates, predictability, and modeling in studies of Ecotoxicology.
