Culex restuans

Culex restuans is identified by its abdomen which
has straight pale-scaled basal bands, with the band on tergum VII slightly
curved on the sides.

Culex restuans also has unbanded hindtarsomeres.
Unlike the Culex tarsalis, the Culex restuans does not have
a banded proboscis.

Some, but not all, Culex restuans have two white
or silvery dots on their scutum.
