Psorophora signipennis have broad, pale, basal bands
on their hind tarsi.
The proboscis has a very broad band of pale scales in
the middle.

Here is a picture comparing Ochlerotatus sollicitans
(left) with Psorophora signipennis. They have similar characteristics,
such as proboscis and leg banding, but the banding on the abdomen is different,
as sollicitans has basal banding.
