Culex tarsalis larvae have long antennae,
with seta attached near middle of antennae,
much like Culex tarsalis.

One difference between the larvae of tarsalis and
territans is that the setae on the head of territans are
all single, whereas on tarsalis they are multiple.

Territans also have setae on their siphon
all in a straight line, with about 5-9 pairs of setae. The siphon
is thinner than a tarsalis'.

The saddle on segment
X of Culex territans larvae completely encircles the
segment.
