Course: Plant tissue culture, Bot 781 3(2,3) F even years
Course objectives:

Lecture: This course deals with morphogenetic studies of invitro
cellular differentiation, organ formation and plant development. Topics
included in this course are: experimental morphogenesis in cultured somatic
cells, in cultured haploid spores or gametes, in cultured protoplasts,
in meristem and embryo cultures. Gene and chromosome manipulations in conjunction
with various agricultural applications are also emphasized.

Laboratory: The laboratory is an integral part of this course, proving
students with experimental techniqhes of various physiological and genetic
manipulations in cell, tissue and organ culture.
Placement in Curriculum: The main audience of this course
is composed of the graduate students from botany, biology, plant and animal
science.
