The SDSU Oak Lake
Science Camp offers opportunities for hands-on, small-group learning
experiences in the fields of environmental science and biology. The Oak Lake Field Station is a 570 acre
facility located 25 miles northeast of the SDSU campus and near the Minnesota
border. The station sits alongside
Science Camp is
offered for middle-school students entering grades 6-8. Students who have recently completed grade 8
but have not yet entered grade 9 may also apply. An application and brochure describing our
camp is available from the link below.
Interested students should download the brochure, complete the
application and mail their application to the Department of Biology &
Microbiology at SDSU. Questions related
to science camp may be directed to Ms.
Kendra Hill (605-688-4560) using the contact information below. Parents may also contact Ms. Vickie Molengraaf
(605-688-6141) to have their child’s name put on our reservation list. An enrollment cap of 15 students is
maintained to enhance the learning experience for participants. Thus, early registrants are more likely to
find an opening.
